Our mental health services help teens, college students, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health challenges.
Whether your student is dealing with academic pressure, social anxiety, depression, or difficulty managing emotions, our mental health services provide the clinical expertise and compassionate support they need to thrive.
Led by Ryan Coley, LCSW, our team brings licensed clinical training to every session, pairing evidence-based care with practical, real-world strategies. We meet students in person at our Wake Forest and Raleigh offices or virtually throughout North Carolina, so they get the support they need to feel better and function better in daily life.
Our mental health services for students are designed for:
Students with anxiety (social anxiety, test anxiety, generalized anxiety)
Teens and young adults with depression who feel hopeless or unmotivated
Students under academic pressure struggling with stress and burnout
Young people with ADHD who need support beyond medication
Students dealing with social challenges (isolation, bullying, peer pressure)
College students in crisis facing overwhelming emotions or thoughts
Teens with low self-esteem or confidence issues
Students who have experienced trauma or difficult life events
MENTAL HEALTH FOR TEENS
Unlike school counselors or unlicensed coaches, our mental health services provide clinical-level care grounded in evidence-based therapeutic practices.
We work directly with students in a way that respects their autonomy while keeping parents informed. Students need a space to talk openly without feeling like everything goes back to their parents.
Students leave sessions with real coping strategies they can use immediately—breathing techniques, thought reframing, emotion regulation skills, and action plans for their specific challenges.
We provide ongoing accountability and check-ins between sessions. Students know they have someone in their corner who genuinely cares about their progress.
Evidence-based treatment from licensed clinical therapists who specialize in teen and young adult mental health.
Our team's LCSW credentials mean students receive clinical-level mental health care, not just advice from a counselor or coach.
Many students have tried school counselors or other services and felt dismissed or misunderstood. We take the time to truly listen and validate their experiences.
We teach evidence-based coping skills and strategies that students can actually use in real life—not just abstract concepts.
Regular sessions create continuity and trust. Students know they have a consistent person they can count on.
Our mental health services focus on measurable improvement. Students report feeling better, functioning better, and handling life better.

Navigating student life while managing mental health is a journey no one should take alone. At The Sherpa Group, we bridge the gap between clinical therapy and academic success, providing the hands-on guidance young adults need to thrive. Let’s build a roadmap for your student’s future—together.
